Accuride Wheels Introduces Lighter Truck Wheel at IAA Show

Accuride Wheels has launched a new 22.5 x 9.00 European truck wheel at the IAA show in Hanover, Germany. The company announced that this wheel is the lightest in its category, weighing only 29.6 kg (65.3 lbs.). This is over 5 lbs. lighter than the previous record-holding wheel, which was introduced in 2022 and weighed 32 kg (70.6 lbs.).

The new wheel is made from high-strength, low-alloy steel and uses flow-forming technology. According to Accuride, the lighter weight helps reduce fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions, and increase payload capacity. The company also confirmed that the wheel meets current and future market needs, including TPMS compatibility and high durability.
